The City Manager recommends adoption." <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Holley, to concur in the recommendation of <br />the City Manager, to transfer $42,476 from the Grants Contingency Account to develop a Diag- <br />nostic and Treatment Program for Mentally Retarded Individuals with Emotional/Psychiatric <br />Problems, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> 78-380 "Consideration of a motion to transfer $57,339 from the Grants Contingency <br />Account to continue opera~ion of the Senior Citizens Services Program and to purchase <br />equipment for the Portsmouth Senior Citizens Center. <br /> This motion will provide the funds necessary to continue operation of Senior Citizens <br /> Services in the City of Portsmouth, a program which includes a Senior Citizens' Coordinator <br /> to provide technical assistance in program development and coordination, a Denture Clinic <br /> to provide dentures, repairs, extractions, and cleaning, and a Home Health Care Program to <br /> acutely or chronically ill, homebound residents. The equipment purchased through this <br /> motion will serve to improve handicraft programs, gift store o~eration, security and <br /> comfort for Center visitors, and general office functioning. Of the $57,339 total program <br /> cost, $49,247 is the Federal amount and ~8,092 is the required local cash match. The. The parcel was transferred to the non-tax list but was not <br /> deleted from the land book~ therefore, taxes have been collected ~om'the Sweetbriar Develop- <br /> ment Company erroneously.
