Whatever I choose to do, ! have a vast amount of land on which I am free to,r~Am and
settle -- from the rQcky terrain of New England~ through the wide midwestern plains, to the
towering Rockies. I had never stopped to think that without this land, there would be no
America. I am free to travel anywhere in the United States and no one is going to stop me.

The freedoms we enjoy, the diversi~y and strength of our people, our limitless opportun~-
ties and the beauties of the land itself are all symbolized in that proud banner our flag:
Now I understand exactly_what,because.the flag is..truly a. symbol o~,our fre~dpms, the people,
opportunity, and land. The flag stands for everything we were, are and ever will be.
