F_e~br~arv 27. 1979 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING: A PORTION OF AN <br />UNNAMED L ~A~E. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Construction Associates has made application to vacate, close and discontinue <br />the hereinafter-described portion of an unnamed lane, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application Bnd request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted February 1, 1979 on <br />the bulletin board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth, <br />the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and the bulletin board <br />of City Hall of the City of Portsmouth. -~ <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that Frank N. Bilisoly, Linon Vann, James Linehan, Richard Ottavio, and James McGehee be <br />appointed viewers and Robert Reed be appointed an alternate viewer in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fail to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described <br />portion of such lane and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />UNNAMED LANE <br /> <br /> A certain unnamed lane which is more particularly described as beginning <br />at a point on the east side of Frederick Boulevard at the line of property <br />formerly belonging to the City of Portsmouth, which was conveyed by deed dated <br />October 27, 1978 unto Construction Associates, Inc.; thence from said point of <br />beginning running north 189 west 111.89' to the southern right-of-way of a <br />certain unimproved street; thence running north 57°03' east 77.67' to a pin <br />which is in the western boundary line of a property owned by Construction Assoc- <br />iates, Inc.; thence running south 18S east 150', more or less, to a point on <br />the east side of Frederick Boulevard; thence running northwestwardly along <br />the arc of curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 1004.93', a distance <br />of 50', more or less, to the said point of beginning; the said 20' lane being <br />sho~n on the plat of North Truxton ~n line to the east of Lots 319 and 320 as <br />shown on said plat." <br /> <br />Ayes: Elliott, Gray, Holley, Oast, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 79-63 "Consideration of a resolution appointing viewers for the closing of a portion <br />of an unnamed alley in the Twin Pines section of Churchland. <br /> <br /> The C%ty of Portsmouth has made application to vacate and close a portion of an <br />~unn~am~&-alley for the purpose of constructing the Twin Pines Playground. The Planning <br />Commission has ~ecommended same. This resolution will appoint viewers pursuant to State <br />law for a report back to City Council. The a'bove-described property being <br /> a portion of that 16' alley as shown on Block 2, Plat of the Churchland Land <br />Company, said plat being duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court <br />of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 18, Page 85." <br /> <br />Ayes: Elliott, Gray, Holley, Oast, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
