This appropriation includes $25,000 in General Revenue Sharing Funds and the balance <br />Of the appropriation ($25,000) will be revenue furnished by community groups as the 50% <br />match. The City Manager recommends adoption on first reading. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous yore: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $50,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE <br />INCENTIVE PROGRAM, 1980." <br /> <br /> 79-298 - "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $50,000 from the <br />Capital Improvements Fund for upgrading existing recreation facilities. <br /> <br /> This appropriation will provide the necessary funds for the continuation of the program <br />' for the fourth year in the upgrading of playgrounds, centers, athletic areas, and other <br /> projects selected by community forums and the Recreation Department. The 1979-80 Capital <br /> Improvements Program includes $50,000 for the upgrading of existing recreation facilities to <br /> be funded from General Revenue Sharing Funds. The City Manager recommends adoption on first <br /> reading." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $50,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR UP- <br />GRADING EXISTING RECREATION FACILITIES." <br /> <br /> 79-299 "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $4,000 from the <br />Federal Grants Fund for a feasibility and potential reuse study of Alton Square. <br /> <br /> The City has received a $1,500 grant from the National Trust for Historical Preservation <br />for the purpose of contracting with an architect to under take a feasibility and potential <br />reuse study of the oldest commercial structure located on Alton Square in Cradock. The owner <br />of the property has agreed to match the $1,500 in federal funds and the $500 in local funds <br />with ~ $2,000 matching contribution. The $500 in local funds have previously been authorized <br />in the City Planning General Operating Budget. The City Manager recommends adoption on first <br />reading." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Gray, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $4,000 FROM THE FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR A <br />FEASIBILITY AND POTENTIAL REUSE STUDY AT AFTON SQUARE." <br /> <br /> 79-300 "Gn~55dex~f~nn of an ordinance amending Section 15(a) of the City's Classifi- <br />cation and Pay Plan Ordinance #1979-65 pertaining to the annual salary rate for the City <br />Assessor. <br /> <br /> The City Council has been advised that the City Assessor has completed and received <br />RM designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers; based on this, the <br />salary for the City Assessor is being amended, effective July 1, 1979.
