This resolution will appoint <br />viewers pursuant to state law to make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Manager <br />recommends adoption. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Holley and seconded by Mr. Beamer, the following resolution was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREETS: A PORTION <br />OF SUMLERS LANE (AVENUE); UNNAMED LANE ON OAKLAND STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portions of certain streets, and it <br />appearing that notice of application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly <br />posted on October 19, 1979, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court, City Hall Building, <br />and the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that <br />A. N. Kendrick, Charles R. Hugdins, Robert Reed,~ Harrison Miller, R.
