<br /> The Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has made application for the closing
<br />of a portion of Wool Avenue, south of the right-of-way line of Shasta Street. This resolution
<br />appoints viewers in accordance with State law. The City Manager recommends adoption."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, the following resolution was adopted,
<br />and by the following vote:

<br />'A RESOLUTION ~PPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF WOO1 AVENUE.

<br /> ~HEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has made application to vacate,
<br />close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of Wool Avenue, and it appearing
<br />that notice of application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on
<br />September 18, 1980, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth, and the City Hall
<br />Building of the City of Portsmouth.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />A. N. Kendric~, Louis J. Leitner, H. C. Narriston, James H. Griffin and James L. Linehan,
<br />be appointed viewers and that George Newton Powers, Sr. be appointed an alternate viewer'in
<br />the event one of the preceding v~ewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the herein-
<br />after-described port,on of such street and to report to this Council in writing whether in
<br />their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the
<br />following:
