In addition, the rate for standard container <br />collection for commercial and industrial establishments is increased proportionally." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the following ordinance was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14-39 AND 14-40 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, PERTAINING TO REFUSE COLLECTION FEES." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Beamer, Gray, Oast, Webb, Whitlow, Johansen <br />Nays:- None <br /> <br /> (f) "An ordinance to amend Section 19-44 of the City Code pertaining to the Law Library <br />assessment. <br /> <br /> The Portsmouth Law Library is funded by an assessment as part of the cost incident <br />to each civil action filed in the Circuit Court and the District Court located within the Cit' <br />This ordinance j~creases the amount of the assessment in the District Courts from $0.50 to <br />$1.00, and in the Circuit Court from $1.00 to $2.00 and is recommended by the Law Library <br />Board." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, the following ordinance was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 19-44 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, PERTAINING TO THE LAW LIBRARY ASSESSMENT." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Beamer, Gray, Oast, Webb, Whitlow, Johansen <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(g) "An ordinance to increase ambulance fees. <br /> <br /> This ordinance will increase the ambulance fee from the current $35 for basic servic <br /> to $50. It is also recommended that a fee of $I00 be assessed when advanced life support is <br />~,used, a fee of $150 be assessed for scheduled inter-city hospital transfers and a fee of $35 <br /> for no-loads." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Oast, the following ordinance was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL AMBULANCE SERVICE." <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Barnes, Beamer, Gray, Oast, Webb, Whitlow, Johansen <br />Ncne <br /> <br />(h) "An ordinance to increase fishing permits and boat rental fees at the Suffolk lakes. <br /> <br /> The fee for fishing permits and boat rentals at the Suffolk lakes is recommended <br />increase from $1 to $1.50 for fishing permits and $1 to $2 for boat rentals. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Oast, the following ordinance was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES FOR FISHING PE~4ITS AND BOAT RENTAL COST <br />AT THE CITY-OWNED WATERSHED IN SUFFOLK.' <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Beamer, Gray, Oast, Webb, Whitlow, Johansen <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> (i) "An ordinance to amend the code, Section ~30 pertaining to--schedule of fees and <br />charges in cemeteries. <br /> <br /> This ordinance will increase the fee for oFening and closing graves at city <br />cemeteries and makes the rates comparable to those in private operated cemeteries.
