Cook, Sr., has made application pursuant to ~40-69(b) of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1975, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter- <br />described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be <br />done in connection with said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning CQmm~ss~ion ,has ma~de a recommendation regarding the granting <br />said use permit. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter-described is sought: <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />health and safety of persons residing or <br />use, <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the <br />working in the neighborhood of the proposed <br /> <br /> (b) Will not be da~mdmentgl to the publi~ use or injurious'to the proFerty or <br />improvements of the neighborhood; ~and - ~' <br /> <br /> (c) <br />Code. <br /> <br />Will be in accordance wdth ~the purposes of thee Zoning Ohapter,',e-f t.he City <br /> <br /> 2. Earl J. Cook, Sr. is hereby granted a use nermi~ pursuant. ~o ~&0-69 (b) of the <br />Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia to operate an auto junkyard at 705-707 Yorktown <br />Avenue, being more particularly described at Tax Map 113, Parcels 34;.3.5, 36,-62 and 62-1, <br />this area containing approximately 32,975 square feet or 0.755 acres [UP-83-6). <br /> <br />3. This use permit is approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> (a) That automobiles may not be sheared at the location. <br /> <br />(b) That automobile skeletons <br /> <br /> (c) That all junk automcbiles <br />awaiting removal shall be stored within <br />stopping or storage of junk or skeleton <br />will be permitted. <br /> <br />shall not permanently stored on the property. <br /> <br />awaiting dismanteling and. automobile skeletons <br />a fenced compound and that no temporary parking, <br />automobiles outside t.he fe.nce ,o£.the compound area <br /> <br /> (d) That fencing,and screeai,n~"shalt be-,pr, ov~ded,in smcR a.mannez so,as to <br />screen the activities conducted within the compound and vegetation or other screening be <br />used to camouflage the fence and help blend in with the surrounding area. Ullom, Directoress, Montessori Children <br />Center, has made application pursuant to ~40-73 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />required to be <br /> <br />Virginia, 1973, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described; <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things <br />done in connection with said application: and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission ~as recommended'~he'grantdng of-said use permit. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> 1.
