<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has determined that the acquisition of sai
<br />property will be beneficial to the City of Portsmouth and its citizens.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />the City of Portsmouth shall, and does hereby accept with deep gratitude as a gift from Amelia
<br />G. McLean, for the benefit of the City of Portsmouth and its citizens, that certain parcel of
<br />land located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, adjacent to Interstate 264 at Frederick
<br />Boulevard overpass, containing 2.77 acres, particularly set out and described in a deed of gif
<br />from Amelia G. McLean to the City of Pertsmouth, Virginia, bearing date on the 29th day of
<br />February, 1984, a copy of which deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part
<br />hereof."

<br />for Annie S. Lee, 1729 Atlanta Avenue, Portsmouth, Virginia 23704.

<br /> Mrs,. ~Leg~aid personal property on a boat in error; therefore, a refund in the amount of
<br />$29.26 is requested.

<br />I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be granted without interest."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, that authorization be granted, as requeste
<br />to refund to Annie S. Lee $29.26, without interest, for 1983 Personal Property taxes, and was
<br />adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> "The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting a refund of 1983 Personal Property taxes
<br />to Crenshaw Young, 3804 Greenwood Drive, Portsmouth, Virginia 23701.

<br />Mr. Young paid personal property taxes gn error, a refund of $84~04 is requested.
<br />
<br />I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be granted without interest."

<br />was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> "The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting a refund of 1983 Personal Property taxes
<br />to Nathaniel Roberts, Sr., 3002 Deep Creek Boulevard, Portsmouth, Virginia 23~04.
<br />
<br /> Mr Roberts paid taxes on a 1974 Cadillac in error, therefore, a refund of $20.70 is
<br />requested.
<br />
<br />I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be granted with interest."

<br />and was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />Computer Corporation $520.88 for 1983 Business Personal Property taxes without interest.
<br />
<br /> "The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting a refund of 1983 Business Personal Propert
<br />taxes inzthe amount of $520.88 to Unicom Computer Corporation, 2829 Bridgeway Boulevard,
<br />Sausalito, California 94965.
<br />
<br /> This corporation sent an incorrect filing for leased equipment located in the City of
<br />Portsmouth, the gquipment is located in the County of Fairfax, City of Vienna.
<br />
<br /> I recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund of $520.88 without interest be
<br />granted."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, that authorization be granted, as requeste
<br />to refund to Unicom Computer Corporation $520.88, without interest, for 1983 Business Personal
<br />Property taxes, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
