Griffin, Architect, for 30 condominium units, said project <br /> being located at London Boulevard and Middle Street, approved on <br /> first reading of the regular meeting of May 8, 1984. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Webb the following resolution was <br />adopted and by the following vote: <br /> <br />'~ RESOLUTION GRANTING APPRO~ABf,FOR?A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-55 <br />OF'THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, AS AMENDED, SAID PROJECT BEING LOCATED AT <br />LONDON BOULEVARD AND MIDDLE STREET AND DESIGNATED AS GHP 84-7. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Enterprises, Inc., by Dan E. Griffin, Architect, has made application <br />pursuant to Section 40-55 Of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended, for <br />the granting and approval of a group housing project consisting of thirty (30) condominium units <br />on a parcel of land generally bounded by London Boulevard on the north, Middle Street on the <br />east, and Queen Street on the South, and containing 1.18 acres and designated as GHP 84-7; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the Planning Commission to have met the <br />requirements of Section 40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed such application and site plan submitted <br />therewith, and has recommended a conditional approval of said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that the approval of a group housing project <br />pursuant to Section 40-55 grants only an exemption from certain requirements for residences as <br />stated in said section, and does not constitute a waiver of any other requirement embodied in th~ <br />subdivision ordinance, zoning ordinance, Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any other <br />applicable local, state or federal laws or regulations; and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permits or any other required permit will be <br />issued only upon compliance with the ordinance, laws, and regulations applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the <br />certain group housing project designated as GHP 84-7, more specifically described in corresponden <br />form the applicant received by the Director of Planning, and as shown on plans prepared by Dan <br />E. Griffin and Kenneth M. Sedlacko, Architects, for Portsmouth Enterprises, Inc., which have <br />been filed with the appropriate officials of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, such correspondenc <br />and plans being made a part hereof, is hereby granted approval subject to the following terms <br /> <br /> <br />
