R-S3." <br /> 8S-148 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of an ordinance to close a <br />pcrtxon of Columbia Street. <br /> <br /> 'Robert Ewell and Nell Ewell made application to close a portion of Columbia Street. <br /> ~iewers were appointed by City Council and have reported that no objection is made to <br />this application. Fhe Planning Commmssion recommends approval of this street closure. <br /> It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council adopt the attached <br />a portion of Columbia Street." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to suspend the rules <br />Attorney, to speak, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Stuart Held, ~ttorney, 245 First Colonial Road, Va. Beach, representing the applicant, <br /> requested that Council concur in the recommendation of the Planning stnff~o;~. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the following ordinance was adopted <br />on first and final reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />ordinance closing <br />for Stuart Held, <br /> <br />"AN CRDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF COLUMBIA STREET." <br /> <br /> Ayes: Beamer, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Webb, Whitlow, Holley <br /> Nays: None <br /> <br /> 85-149 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a resolution accepting the <br />bid of Alton Smith for property located at 1232 Wilcox Avenue and authorizin~ conveyance of <br />this property. <br /> <br /> 'Bids have been received by the City Attorney's Office for the property located at 1232 <br />Wilcox Avenue. The City requested a mmnzmum bid of $1,090.00 for the parcel. Only one bid <br />was received for this property.
