<br /> 'Robert Ewell and Nell Ewell made application to close a portion of Columbia Street.
<br /> ~iewers were appointed by City Council and have reported that no objection is made to
<br />this application. Fhe Planning Commmssion recommends approval of this street closure.
<br /> It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council adopt the attached
<br />a portion of Columbia Street."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to suspend the rules
<br />Attorney, to speak, and was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> requested that Council concur in the recommendation of the Planning stnff~o;~.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the following ordinance was adopted
<br />on first and final reading, and was adopted by the following vote:

<br />bid of Alton Smith for property located at 1232 Wilcox Avenue and authorizin~ conveyance of
<br />this property.

<br /> 'Bids have been received by the City Attorney's Office for the property located at 1232
<br />Wilcox Avenue. The City requested a mmnzmum bid of $1,090.00 for the parcel. Only one bid
<br />was received for this property. The sole bidder, Alton Smith, offered £1,090.00.
<br />
<br /> I recommend approval of the resolution accepting the bid of Mr. Smith and authorizing
<br />conveyance of this property."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, the following resolution was adoFted,

<br />1232 WILCOX AVENUE: AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY.

<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey
<br />hereinafter-described property to Alton Smith:
