<br />rick Boulebard, which property is no longer needed for public purposes and is hereby

<br />the sum of $3,500 be, and the same hereby is, accepted.

<br />from Metro Development Corporation in the amount of $13,00[ and from Ron~ld Lee in the amount
<br />of $12,500.

<br /> to provide addmt~onal restrictions in an effort to protect the residen-
<br />tial integrity of the neighborhood. Such restrictions address architectural and landscaping
<br />requirements, minimum square footage of the single family residential structures and adequate
<br />lot size and configuration. Also, deed restrictions would provide additional assurance that
<br />the structures to be built would be compatible with ~he existing single family residences in
<br />the area.

<br />CITY-0WNED PROPERTY NORTH OF THELMAR LANE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY.

<br />WHEREAS, the City owns certain real property which was formerly a portion of the Seaboard
<br />t Line Railroad right-of-way; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS,said property is no longer required for public purposes and is, hereby, declard
<br />to be excess property; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Portsmouth, said property was advertised
<br />for sale; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the highest bid received was from Metrc Development Corporation in the amount
<br />of Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13,000) for the purpose of constructing single family residen-
<br />tial units in accordance with the existing zoning requirements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth ~eems it to be in the best interest of the
<br />City to convey said property to Metro Development Corporation for the purposes specified.

<br /> NOW,' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />the bid of Metro Development Corporation to purchase the hereinafter described property locate
<br />on the north side of Thelmar Lane for the sum of Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13,00~) be accept

<br />hereinafter-described property to Metro Development Corporation subject to the development of
<br />the property for single family residential units in accordance with the existing R-75-S Zoning
<br />and such other terms and conditions as may be deemed appropriate. Said property being more
