<br />unanimous vote.

<br />support of the application.
<br />
<br /> Councilman Whitlow stated he would abstain on the matter as his law firm represented
<br />Messrs. Edwards and Currin, contract owners.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />Planning Commission, GHP 85-29 for a three-story commercial/office/residential building at 313
<br />High Street, was approved on first reading, and was adopted by 6-0-1 (Abstaining-Whitlow)

<br />CA 85-12 - CODE AMENDMENT: A proposal to allow the operation of funeral homes
<br /> within the Downtown D~i zoning district, Sub-area M-Mixed Uses.
<br />
<br />City Manager nee.ommended to defer CA 85-12.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />City Manager, and CA 85-12 to be deferred to the first meeting in November (12th), and was
<br />adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />(g) Use Permit UP 85-25 - Use permit application of Hugo A~ Owens, Sr., for a:funeral
<br /> home at 610 Green Street.
<br />
<br />City Manager recommended to defer UP 85-2~.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Gray, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />City Manager, UP 85-2~ to be deferred to the meeting of November 12, 1985, and was adopted
<br />by unanimous vote.
