Edwards and Currin, contract owners. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission, GHP 85-29 for a three-story commercial/office/residential building at 313 <br />High Street, was approved on first reading, and was adopted by 6-0-1 (Abstaining-Whitlow) <br /> <br />CA 85-12 - CODE AMENDMENT: A proposal to allow the operation of funeral homes <br /> within the Downtown D~i zoning district, Sub-area M-Mixed Uses. <br /> <br />City Manager nee.ommended to defer CA 85-12. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />City Manager, and CA 85-12 to be deferred to the first meeting in November (12th), and was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(g) Use Permit UP 85-25 - Use permit application of Hugo A~ Owens, Sr., for a:funeral <br /> home at 610 Green Street. <br /> <br />City Manager recommended to defer UP 85-2~. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Gray, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />City Manager, UP 85-2~ to be deferred to the meeting of November 12, 1985, and was adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br /> 85-241 - On motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Webb, Item (c)(d)(e) and (f) <br />approved on first reading at the Public Hearing of August 27, 1985, the following ordinance <br />was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, <br />BY AMENDING SECTIONS. 33-1, 33-22, 33-55 AND 33-57(a)(2) PERTAINING TO SUB- <br />DIVISIONS." <br /> <br />Ayes: Beamer, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Webb, Whitlow, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
