to convert a single house to a duplex at 434 Chautauqua Avenue, Portsmouth. It was suppose
to go to City Council on September 24th, but due ~o another commitment of the Council, it was
delayed until tonight. We are trying to get the work done on the property but we need permits
and can not get the permits until Council approves the conversion. I would appreciate very
much if this is approved that you would waive the second reading and 50 day waiting period, so
that we can get in and get the work done on the property, and also get our financing and insur
ance on the property. ~his was applied for back in July and these waiting periods are causing
us problems with our insurance and financing. I have talked to the City Clerk, the City Attor:
and the Planning Director, they advised me to ask for this waiver. Sign by Johnny Owens"
