<br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT PURSUANT TO
<br />SECTION 40-SS OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID
<br />PROJECT BEING A TWENTY-EIGHT (28) UNIT CONDOMINIUM IN THE HODGES MANOR
<br />SECTION OF PORTSMOUTH ~ND DESIGNATED AS GHP-85-28.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Kirk Berkeley, Architect, for Southern Rental, Inc., owner, has made application
<br />pursuant to Section 40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended
<br />for the granting and approval of a group housing project consisting of twenty-eight (28)
<br />condominium units on 1.51 acres of vacant land on property shown on Tax Plate 16 as Parcel 4.1
<br />and designated as GHP-85-28: and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the application
<br />requirements of Section 40-55
<br />amended; and
<br />
<br />has been determined by the Planning Commission to have met the
<br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Com~issmon has reviewed such application and site plan submitted
<br />therewith and has reconm~ended a conditional approval of said application; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that the approval of a group housing project
<br />pursuant to Section 40-55 grants onlT an exemption from certain requirements for residences
<br />as stated in said section and does not constitute a waiver of any other requirement embodied
<br />· n the subdivision ordinance, zonins ordinance, Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or
<br />any other applicable local~ state or federal laws or regulations; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building oermits or any other required permit will
<br />be issued only regulations applicable thereto.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia that the
<br />certain group housing project designated as CHP-85-2g, more specifically described mn corres
<br />dence from Kirk Berkeley, AIA, dated November S, 1985, and shown on plans which have been
<br />with the appropriate officials of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, such correspondence and
<br />plans being made a part hereof, is hereby granted approval subject to the following terms and
<br />conditions:
<br />
<br /> 1. A detailed landscaping plan, including, but not limited to, treatment of the parking
<br />lot entrance, entrance roads and screenmng of the parking lot, must be submitted to the
<br />Office for review and approval prmor to the issuance of building permits.
<br />
<br /> 2. A standard site improvement plan must be submitted to the Department of Engineering
<br />and Technical Services for review and approval."
