January 28~ 1986 <br /> <br />REPORTS FROM THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br /> 86-30 Letter from th~ City Manager recommending adoption of an ordinance to appropriate <br />$156,000 for renovation of the Circuit Courtroom interiors, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame <br />and-Community Arts Center, and addition of the Churchland Library meeting room and award of <br />Contract. <br /> <br /> "In continuing with the revitalization of Portsmouth and improving community services, <br />plans have been designed for the long-awaited construction of the Churshland Library meeting <br />room (base bid , renovation of the Circuit Courtroom (Alternate 11 , and Virginia Sports Hall <br />of Fame and Community Arts Center (alternate 2) with carpeting (Alternate 2A). The bid for repairs is as follows: <br /> Bid Price <br /> American LaFrance $ 41,610 <br /> <br /> Repairs to the elevated platform have been completed at a cost of $2,725.
