Martin, AIA, Architect/Agent, for 40 rental apartment units on the <br />south side of Turnpike Road lying 340 feet west from Rodman Avenue. <br /> <br /> R. J. Nutter, II, 3330 Pacific Avenue, Virginia Beach, Va., representing Evans-Majer- <br />Stewart, spoke in support of the application and stated that the conditions submitted by <br />Planning Commision had been ~et. <br /> <br /> Gerald F. Martin, Architec%, 1417 Battlefield Boulevard, Chesapeake, Va., representing <br />Evans-Major-Stewart, was available to answer questions. <br /> <br /> Carrie Byrum, 3717 Western Branch Boulevard, representing Westhaven Park Civic League, <br />stated that the League was opp6~ed th~the~d~i~ of-th~r~o~ect. <br /> <br /> M~t~og of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mr. Gray, to deny the application. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by Mr. Beamer, to suspend the rules for Gerald F. Frye, Contract owner, by Kirk <br />Berkeley, AIA, Architect, for 17 apartment units at 3711 Turnpike Road. <br /> <br /> Kirk Berkeley, Architect, 303 Effingham Street, spoke for the applicant and requested <br />approval of the project. <br /> <br /> Carrie Byrum, 3717 Western Branch Boulevard, representing Westhaven Park Civic League, <br />spoke in opposition to the density of the project. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray :and seconded by Mr. Corprew, that the matter be deferred to the meetin <br />of March 25, 1986, and was adopted by 4-21Nays-Lucas, Holler) vote. <br /> <br />(e) CA 86-1 CODE AMENDMENT: A proposal to amend Section 40-75 of the City Council <br /> pertaining to permitted uses ~n Residential R-75 zoning district. <br /> <br /> Leslie R.
