286 <br /> <br />March 25~ 1986 <br /> <br /> therefore, ~t is recommended that those parcels of land indicated on the attached schedu] <br />and map be transferred to the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth at <br />this time. <br /> <br /> The attached resolution has been prepared by the City Attorney, and I recommend its <br />approval." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, the following resolution was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FO <br />IV REDEVELOPMENT AREA). <br /> <br />TO CONVEY CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH (SOUTHSIDE <br /> <br />side <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City owns <br />IV Redevelopment area, <br /> <br />certain hereinafter <br />which said property <br /> <br />described real property located in the South- <br />has been acquired for redevelopment purposes; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has adopted a plan for development of <br />said area as the PortCentre Commerce Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it to be in the best interest of the <br />City that the hereinafter described property should be developed in accordance with the plans <br />for the PortCentre Commerce Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of the C~Sty of Portsmouth has been designate, <br />as the development agency for the PortCentre Commerce Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the appraised value of the hereinafter described property is $174,000.00, whidh_ <br />amount, less disposition expenses, will be paid to the City for conveyance of said property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that <br />the City Manage~be%'and hereby is, authorized to convey the hereinafter described property <br />the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth, to-wit: <br /> <br />tO <br /> <br /> Ail those certain lots, pieces of parcels of land, situate, lying and being <br />in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, described as £ollows: <br /> <br /> Beginning on the east side of Fourth Street 51' north from the northeast <br />intersection of Fourth and Harrison Streets; ~hence running east and parallel <br />to Harrison Street 180 feet to a point; thence north 40 feet to a point; thence <br />west and parallel to Harrison Street 180 feet co a point on the east side of <br />Fourth Street; thence south along Fourth Street 40 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the north side of Harrison Street 130 feet east of. <br />the northeast intersection of Harrison and Fourt Streets; from said point of be- <br />ginning running thence east along the north side of Harrison Street 50 feet to a <br /> <br />point; thence north and parallel with Fourth Street 51 feet to the southern line <br />of Froperty now or formerly owned by Charles L. Reynolds as shown on the Deed <br />recorded in the Clerks Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, in Deed Book 350, page 471; thence west along the line of the property <br />of Reynolds 50 feet to a point; thence south 51 feet to the north side o~ Harrison <br />Street, the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Beginning on the west side of Fourth Street 61 feet north of the northwest <br />intersection of Fourth Street and Harrison Street; thence north along Fourth Street <br />30 feet; thence west and parallel with Harrison Street 113 feet; thence south and <br />parallel with Fourth Street 30 feet; thence east 113 Feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeast intersection of Fourth Street and Randolph Street; <br />~hence running north along the east side of Fourth Street to the line of the property <br />of E. Robie Sturtevant; thence east along the line of said E. Robie Sturtevant's <br />property 90 feet; thence south and parallel with Fourth Street 24 Eeet to Randolph <br />Street; thence westerly along Randolph Street 90 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the east side of Fourth Street 91 feet north from the <br />intersection of Fourth Street and Harrison Street; thence running north along Fourth <br />Street 28 feet; thence east 180 feet; thence south and parallel with Fourth Street <br />28 feet; thence west 180 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point 38 1/2 feet south of the southeast intersection of Fourth <br />Street and Wythe Street; thence continuing south along the east side of Fourth <br />Street 40.5 feet, more or less, to the property now or formerly owned by R. E. Glover, <br />thence east along the line of said Glover property 95 feet, more or less to the pro- <br />perty now or formerly owned by S. P. Oast; thence north along said Oast property <br />40.5 feet, more or less, to the proper~y now or formerly owned by S. T.
