September 14, 2021 <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br /> A critical element of the System Transformation Excellence and Performance <br />(STEP-VA) program is to provide needed mental health and supportive services in the <br />most efficient and effective manner available. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br /> The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services <br />awarded $454,663 in FY22 Restricted MH State General Funds for Children’s Outpatient <br />Services. This will allow Behavioral Healthcare Services to offer evidence-based and best <br />practices as part of our implementation of Children’s Outpatient Services. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br /> <br /> No local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br /> <br />Recommended Action: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Adoption of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Next Steps Following Council Action: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Finance Department will make the necessary budget adjustment. <br /> <br />1.
