<br />Pierce in the amount of $15,000.00. The assessed value of the subject Froperty is $7,400,000.

<br /> WHEREAS, the City owns certain hereinafter described real property which is no longer
<br />required for public purposes and is, hereby, declared to be excess property; and
<br /> WHEREAS, said property has been advertised for sale pursuant to the requirements of
<br />Section 2,09 of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the highest bid was that of Leola B. Pierce in the amount of $15,000 for the
<br />purpose of constructing two single family homes on the subject property; and
<br /> WHEREAS~ said bid is in compliance with the terms of the advertisement of sale; and
<br /> 1VHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it to be in the best interest of the
<br />City to dispose of said property as hereina~ove described.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />the bid of Leola B. Pierce to purchase the hereinafter described property for the sum of
<br />$15,000 for the purpose of constructing two single family homes be, and the same hereby is,
<br />accepted.
