October 14, 1986 (c) GHP 86-6 WESTHAVEN NEIGHBORHOOD: Group housing appli- cation of Mohan L Chaudhuri, dy J. ~re~ory Dodd, agent, for a ll-unit apartment! building at the southwest corner of Rodman A~enue and Columbia Street, approved on first ~eading at Public Hearing of September 16, 1986~, was taken up and read. On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, the fiolllowing resolution was adopted on final reading, and by the following kote: "A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING P~_OJECT PURSUANT TO ~40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID PROJECT CONSISTING OF A 12 UNIT R~NT~L APARTMENT PROJECT AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTER~EC~ION OF RODMAN AVENUE AND COLUMBIA STREET AND DESIGNATED AS GHP-86-6. WHEREAS, David R. Chapptell has made application pursuant to 40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, virginia, 1975, ~or granting and approval of a group housing project consis~in~ of twelve (12) rental apartment units on a .44 acre parcel at the sout~ corner of the intersection of Rodman AVenue and Columbia Street Tax Map 305, Parcel 72) and designated as GHP-86-6; and WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the Planning ommission to have met the requirements of ~40-55; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed such application and site plans submitted therewith and has recommended conditional approval of said application; and WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that approval of a ~roup housing project pursuant to ~40-5S grants only an exemption from certain requirements for the residences as stated in said section and does no~ constitute a waiver of any other requiTemen- embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, Co~e Uity of Portsmouth, Virginia or any other applicable local, state ar federal law or regulation; and ~VHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permits sr any pther required permit will be issued only upon compliance with the ~rdinances, laws or regulations applicable thereto.
