67 <br /> <br />October 14, 1986 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of said lots have petitioned the Ciity of <br />?ortsmouth~forrelease of said drainage easement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />nection with <br />City. <br /> <br />said drainage easement is no longer required in con- <br />the comprehensive drainage plans for this area of the <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the C%ty of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby Rs, <br />authorized to release a certain drainage easement, ten feet (iD') ix <br />width, located in Elizabeth Acres, Section 3, more particularly des- <br />cribed as follows: <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, situate~, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />being designated on the Plat of Elizabeth Acres, Secti6n <br />3, recorded in Map Book S, page 62, in the Clerk's Office <br />of the ~irc~i~K Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />as a ten foot (10'i strip parallel to the rear of lot <br />lines of lots 83 through 92, both inclusive, as shown en <br />said plat and designated as tYen Foot Drainage Easement' <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby <br />is, ahthorized to sign such deeds or other documents as may be <br />~ecessary to complete this transaction." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb~ Holle) <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 86-367 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br /> resolution accepting the offer of P. H. Boyette, Jr., & C~., Inc.. <br /> purchase city-owned property and authorizing the City Manager to' <br />zonvey said property located at Second Avenue west of Tyre ~eck <br />~oad. <br /> <br /> "The City recently closed a portion of Second Avenue west of <br />[yre Neck Road. By virture of this street closure the City as an <br />adjoining property owner obtained one-half of the street. <br /> <br /> The Economic Development Office has recommended that <br />~ortion of this property be advertised for sale separate <br />remaining Churchland Academy proper~y. <br /> <br />a,sm~ll <br />from the <br /> <br /> P. H. Boyette, Jr.~& Co., Inc. has submitted an offer to put <br /> chase the parcel for the amount of $3,300.00. This property we <br /> used in connection wath adjacent property owned by Boyette for <br /> ion of the office building facilities. The bid Ls in compliance <br />I~ith the minimum bid requirements of the advertisement~ I <br /> I ~ecommen~ <br /> adoption of the resolution accepting the offer of P. H.
