The project involves renova- <br />tions of the lobby, toilet areas and construction of a new covered <br />entrance. An amount totaling $40,000.0 <br />remains from Phase I, therefore, only $698,000.00 is required to <br />complete this phase. <br /> <br /> I, therefore, concur w~th the Director of Public Works and <br />recommend that Council appropriate $698,000.00 from the Capital <br />Improvement Program and that a construction contract be awarded to <br />rirtexco Corporation." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, the follow- <br />.rig ordinance was approved on first reading, a~d'was adopted by <br />unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $698,000 FROM THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR PHASE II OF THE WILLETT AUDITORIUM <br />RENOVATIONS." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, award of con- <br />tract to Virtexco Corporation for Phase II renovations of Willett <br />Hall, being the lowest responsive bidder, and was adopted by unani- <br />mous vote. <br /> <br /> 86z429 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />an ordinance to appropriate $107,500 from the Capital Improvement <br /> for installation of curb, gutter, storm drainage, and paving <br />for the remaining unimproved sections of Fayette and Jefferson Stre( <br />east of Elm Avenue and award of contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
