June 14, 2016 (b) AMR shall not attempt to provide service to, nor shall it respond to, emergency situations (commonly known as "911 Calls") within the City unless requested by an authorized official of the Portsmouth Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services or through a written agreement with the City. (c) AMR shall immediately report any emergency situation that it encounters in the normal course of its transport business within the City of Portsmouth to the dispatch center to be handled by the Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services. (d) AMR shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, maintain a valid Virginia Department of Health Office of Emergency Medical Services license and a valid business license, pay all federal, state and local taxes, and keep its transport vehicles and medical equipment in a safe, neat, well-maintained and sanitary condition. (e) Without limitation, AMR shall comply with all zoning and other applicable requirements of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006). This Resolution shall not be construed as a zoning approval or clearance related to office space, parking, or any similar zoning requirement. 2. The Fire Chief is hereby authorized by City Council to enforce the terms of this resolution. If the Fire Chief determines that there has been a material violation of any provision hereof, or any other conduct that places public safety or the public interest at risk, he shall report it to the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services and shall thereafter cooperate with said Office in any investigation. 3. David Simons to be reappointed for a term ending June 30, 2019. Cultural Alliance of Greater Hampton Roads Councilman Curtis Edmonds to be reappointed for a term ending June 30, 2018.
