Simpson. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mrs. Webb, that the matte~ <br />be deferred to the meeting of March 10, 1987, and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 87-31 Ordinance to amend Article VII of Chapter 35 of the <br />City Code by adding Section 35-116.1 pertaining to Utility Services <br />tax, deferred from the meeting of January 27, 1987, was taken up <br />read. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, that the matter <br />oe tabled, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />REPORTS FROM THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br /> 87-45 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />a resolution ~o authorize the City Manager to convey City-owned <br />property in the PortCentre development area ~o PRHA, repealing reso- <br />[ution 1986-37. <br /> <br /> "On March 25, 1986, City Council adopted a resolution authoriz <br />lng conveyance of a portion of the City-owned property in the Port- <br />]entre development area to the Industrial Development Authority. <br />Phis property comprised what will be the commercial area of the Por <br />3entre project. Since this resolution was adopted, surveying and <br />~ngineering work and additional title e×am~nations have indicated <br />~hat legal proceedings may be required to establish property lines <br />:or some parcels due to inadequate descriptions ~n previous deeds. <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has the necessary <br />statutory authority ~n mrs enabling legislation to complete thes~ <br />legal proceedings promptly. <br /> <br /> Therefore, it is recommended that City Council repeal the pre- <br />vious resolution and adopt a new resolution authorizing conveyance <br />of all the property interest of the City to Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />~nd Housing Authority." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Simpson, the loll. <br />lng resolution was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY <br />CITY-OWNED PROPERTY IN THE PORTCENTRE DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY; <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION 1986-37. <br /> <br /> <br />
