<br /> The realignment will increase and decrease certain categorical levels of funding
<br />in the Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 Portsmouth Public Schools Operating Budget but will not

<br />increase the total amount from the General Fund.

<br />Motion by Dr. Whitaker, and seconded by Dr. Edmonds, to adopt the following
<br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />
<br />“ORDINANCE TO REALIGN FY 2014-15 CLASSIFICATION FUNDING FOR THE
<br />PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS OPERATING BUDGET.”

<br /> Dr. Wanda Gill, Director of Parks and Recreation, gave an update on the naming of
<br />The Pines. She informed everyone that a name had been selected, Portsmouth
<br />Community Cultural and Sports Complex.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Wright asked Dr. Gill to inform City Council and citizens of award that the City
<br />
<br />received at an event hosted by the Office of Human Affairs at the Hampton
<br />Convention Center.

<br /> Dr. Gill informed citizens and City Council that the City had been named Corporate
<br />Citizen Partner of the Year by the Head Start Department.
