222 <br /> <br />March 24, 1987 <br /> <br /> 87-111 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />an ordinance to close a four foot portion of the right-of-way of <br />Brighton Street and a six foot wide portion of the right-of-way of <br />Seventh Street. <br /> <br /> "In connection with securing the property of Abex Corporation <br />for emergency cleanup procedures as required by the Environmental <br />Protection Agency, application has been made to close a ¢ foot wide <br />>ortion of the right-of-way of Brighton Street and a 6 foot wide <br />>ortion of the right-of-way of Seventh Street adjacent to the con- <br />:aminated property. The viewers report and the Planning Commission <br />review have recommended approval of this application. <br /> <br /> I recommend adoption of the ordinance closing these portions o~ <br />Brighton Street and seventh Street in order ro comply with E.P.A. <br />requirements ro erect a fence to secure this property." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Simpson, the follow- <br />ing ordinance was adopted on first and final reading, and was adopte <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PORTIONS OF BRIGHTON STREET AND <br />SEVENTH STREET." <br /> <br />Ayes: Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 87-112 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />an ordinance to close a portion of Hartford Street at its intersec- <br />tion with the west side of Broad Street. <br /> <br />"Betty L. Pittman and Vance P. Pittman have made application <br />to close a portion of Hartford Street at its intersection with the <br />side of Broad Street. The viewer's report and the Planning <br />Commission recommendation have endorsed approval of this applicatior <br /> <br /> I recommend adoption of the ordinance closing this portion of <br />~artford Street." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Simpson, the followir <br />3rdinance was adopted on first and final reading, and by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF HARTFORD STREET." <br /> <br />Ayes: Corprew, Gray, Luca~s, Simpson, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 87-113 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />an ordinance to close an alleyway between Tyre Neck Road and <br /> <br /> "The nine adjacent property owners on either side of an alley= <br />between Tyre Neck Road and Academy Avenue have made application <br />to close said alleyway for the entire width of that block. The <br />uiewer's report and the Planning Commission review both recommend <br />approvai of the application. <br /> <br />I recommend adoption of the ordinance closing this alleyway." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, the followin <br />>rdinance was adopted on first and final reading, and by the <br />ing vote: <br /> <br /> "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A 20' ALLEY BETWEEN TYRE NECK ROAD <br /> ON THE EAST AND ACADEMY AVENUE ON THE WEST." <br /> <br />Ayes: Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
