223- March 24, 1987 87-114 Letter from the City Manager recemmending adoption of a resolution authorizing conveyance of City-owned parcels in the - PortCentre Commerce Park to Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority. "In connection with the PortCentre Commerqe Park development, rou had previously authorized conveyance of certain City-owned pro- ~erties to Portsmouth ~edevelopment and Housin~ Authority, acting Ls the development agency for the City. Subsecuently, nine additio~ al parcels have been identified which should also be included in the overall development area for the PortCentr~ Commerce Park. I recommend adoption of the resolution authorizing conveyance of these additional parcels to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority." On motion of Mr. Corprew and seconded by ~r. Gray, the resolution was adopted, and by the following v~te: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY TO THE PORTSMOUTH RED(VELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH (PORTCENTRE COMMERCE PARK). WHEREAS, the City owns certain herein~fte~ described real pro- perty located in the PortCentre Commerce Park area, which said property has been acquired for redevelopment p~rposes; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has adopted a plan for development of said area as the PortC~ntre Commerce Park; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it t~ be in the best interest of the City that the hereinafter described pro- perty should be developed in accordance with the plans for the Port- Centre Commerce Park; and WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopmen: the City of Portsmouth has been designate~ for the PortCentre Commerce Park; and WHEREAS, the appraised value of the ] perry, less disposition expenses, will be veyance of said property. and as rei~ Paid Housing Authority of he,development after describedi to the City fori !
