December 9, 2014 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and /or his designee(s) are hereby authorized and directed to provide necessary input and clarification during the 114th Congress session and to carry out other activities as needed to assist in attaining the goals and objectives contained in the City's 2015 Federal Legislative Agenda Package." Ayes: Cherry, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Wright Nays: None 14 - 473 - Adoption of a motion to Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Government. accept and file the City's FY2013 -14 Vision Principle: Efficient, Responsive Background: State Code Section 15.2 -2511 requires that the Certified Public Accountant who audits the City's financial statements present a report to City Council by December 31 each year. The audit partner will present the audit to Council for acceptance and filing. Discussion: • The City's auditor, Cherry Bakaert will present the CAFR to City Council for acceptance and filing. Financial Impact: • There is no financial impact. Recommended Action: • Staff recommends that City Council make a motion to accept and file the City's FY 2013 -14 CAFR. Vision Principle. Efficient, Responsive Government. 1. Mark Geduldig - Yatrofsky, P. O. Box, asked that City Council rescind the vehicle registration fee and re- appropriate part of the net available fund balance to pay the amount that would have been collected from that fee. He also asked that enough funds be re- appropriated to the School Board to provide 1 % monetary compensation to school employees. Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Meeks, to adopt a motion to accept and file the City's FY2013 -14 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Cherry, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Wright Nays: None 14 - 474 - Adoption of a motion accepting the 2015 Calendar of City Council Meetings. Vision Principle: Efficient, Responsive Government. Background: • The Portsmouth City Council normally meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, and the Monday prior to the second and fourth Tuesday regular meeting, except during the month of December where they meet on the second Tuesday and the Monday prior. Discussion: • This action would allow the City Council to give advance notification to the citizens, media, and city departments of the 2015 meeting schedule.
