239 <br /> <br />April 14, 1987 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the Planning <br />Zommission to have met the requirements of §40-55 of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended and the Planning <br /> ~ion has reviewed such application and site plans submitted <br /> and has recommended a conditional approval of said appli- <br />cation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has <br /> posed group housing project and revisions thereto and <br />submitted with such revisions; and <br /> <br />reviewed thc <br />site plans <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that the approval of <br />group housing project pursuant to ~40-55 grants only an exemption <br />from certain requirements for residences as stated in said section <br /> does not constitute a waiver of any other requirement embodied <br />in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, Code of the City of <br />?ortsmouth,~Virginia, or any other applicable local, State or Federe <br />[aw or regulation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permits or any <br /> required permit will be issued only upon compliance with the <br /> s, laws and regulations applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVLED by the Council of the City of <br /> ~th, Virginia that the certain group housing project specif- <br />ically designated on plans filed with the appropriate officio.is of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, such pland and documentations in <br />support thereof being made a part hereof is hereby granted approval <br />subject to the following ~erms and conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. A standard site improvement plan must be submitted to the <br />Department of Engineering and Technical Services for review and <br /> Droval. <br /> <br /> 2. A landscape plan be submitted to the Planniny Staff for <br />ceview anJ approval prior to the issuance of building permits." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb, Holle' <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(c) GHP 86-17 <br /> <br />TRUXTUN NEIGHBORHOOD: Group housing project <br />application of Jean M. Davis and Portsmouth <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority, by Jaspe <br />T. Davis, consultant, for 152 garden-type <br />apartments on land on the north side of Ellio <br />Avenue and west of Frederick Boulevard, <br />deferred from the Public Hearing of March 10, <br />1987. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, that GHP 86-17 <br />be tabled, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 85-105 The foltawing ordinance approyed on first reading at <br />the regular meeting of March 24, 1987, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $722,700 FROM THE PUBLIC <br />UTILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO <br />THE MAIN WATER BOOSTER PUMPING STATION AT GODWIN STREET.' <br /> <br />On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Gray, the ordinance <br />adopted on final reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
