August 13, 2013 Next Steps Following Council Action: • Distribute amended Rules to City Council. • Maintain a copy of amended rules in Clerk's Office for public information and use. Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Meeks, to adopt the following resolution, and was adopted by the following vote: 13-335 (A) "RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE NEWLY REVISED VISION PRINCIPLES FOR THE YEAR 2030. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the attached Vision Principles for the Year 2030 be, and hereby are, adopted." Ayes: Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Cherry Nays: None Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Ms. Psimas, to adopt the following resolution, and was adopted by the following vote: 13-335 (B) "RESOLUTION ADOPTING AMENDED RULES OF ORDER AND PROCEDURE OF PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the attached amended Rules of Order and Procedure of Portsmouth City Council be, and hereby are, adopted." Ayes: Edmonds, Meeks, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Cherry Nays: None - New Business - 13 - 336 -Boards and Commissions Mr. Moody offered the following nominations: Behavioral Healthcare Services Advisory Board Beverly Franklin to be appointed to fill a term ending June 30, 2015, replacing Leroy Daniels. Community Policy & Management Team Katherine Grimm to be appointed to replace David Lively. Peggy Bragg to be reappointed to fill a two year term ending June 30, 2015. Cultural Alliance of Greater Hampton Roads Councilman Curtis Edmonds to be reappointed to a three year term ending June 30, 2016. Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority Joseph Haskell to be reappointed to fill a four year term ending August 31, 2017. Supplemental Retirement Board David Kenerson, Jr. to be appointed to fill a term ending September 30, 2016, replacing Shandre Harasty.
