<br />Ordinance to amend Section 40-102-pertaining to new
<br />construction regulations in the Park View and Olde
<br />rowne Historic Districts, (CA 87-10), approved on
<br />first reading at the public hearing on June 9, 1987,
<br />was taken up and read.
<br />
<br /> Doris Leitner, 215 Glasgow Street, representing the Olde Towne
<br />Civic League, spoke in support of the ordinance.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded of Mrs. Lucas, the followi~
<br />ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote:
<br />
<br />"AN ORDINANCE rO ~END THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH,
<br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 40-102 (B) BY ADDING
<br />THERETO A NEW SUBSECTION DESIGNATED 4.2, PERTAINING TO
<br />HISTORIC DISTRICT BUILDING REGULATIONS."

<br />in the sign ordinance, (CA 87-11), approved on first
<br />reading at the public hearing on June 9, 1987, was taken
<br />up and read.

<br /> On motion of Mrs. Webb, and seconded by Mr. Corprew, the follo
<br />ing ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH,
<br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SEGTION 40-282 THEREOF,
<br />PER%AINING TO DEFINITIONS OF GROUND SIGNS AND ABOVE
<br />GROUND SIGNS."

<br />Ordinance to amend Chapters 33 and 40 of the City Code
<br />pertaining to filing and review fees for rezoning, group
<br />housing, and subdivision applications, (CA 87-12), approve
<br />on first reading at the public hearing on June 9, 1987,
<br />was taken up and read.

<br /> On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, the followin
<br />ordinance was adopted on final reading, and by the following vote:
<br />
<br />'AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH,
<br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 40-223, 40-55 (5) ·
<br />AND SECTION 33-69 THEREOF, PERTAINING TO FEES FOR REZONING,
<br />GROUP HOUSING AND SUBDIVISIONS."

<br />to establiskment of fees for modification and extension
