49'0- October 27, 1987 Parcel B Beginning at a point at the intersection of the 6orthern right-of-way line of'Randolph Street and the western right-of-way line of Seventh Street; thence due south along the southerly extension of the western right-of-way line of Seventh Street, a distance of t0.00 feet to a'point; thence S 89~ 52' 10" W,'105.00 f~et to a~point; t.h~nce due north, 10.00 feet to a point in the northern right-of-way line of Randolph Street; thence N 89° 52' 10" E, 105.00 feet along the northern right-of-way line of Randolph Street to the point of beginning. Ayes: Barnes, CorDrew, Gray, Lucas, Simpson, Webb, Holley Nays: None Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to recess the Council meeting at 9:11 p.m. and was adopted by unanimous vote. The Council reconvened the meeting at 9:19 p.m. - REPORTS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - 87-457 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a resolution appointing viewers for the closure a portion of _Amelia Avenue. of "Terry S. and Elizabeth D. McDaniel and Timothy Rawls Stephenson have made application to vacate a portion of Amelia Avenue north of Griffin Street. The notice of application and request for appointment of viewers has been advertised. I recommend adoption of the resolution appointing viewers for this application." On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray,'the following resolution was adopted, and by the following vote: "A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF AMELIA AVENUE. WHEREAS, Terry S. and Elizabeth D. McDaniel and Timothy Rawls Stephenson have made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of Amelia Avenue and it appearing that notice of application request for appointment of viewers has been duly advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, James H. Griffin, william Choate and James L. Linehan be appointed viewers and that Harrison Miller and Clinton J. Fortune be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewsrs to view the hereinafter-described portion of said street and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any what~ inconvenience would result in vacating and clo~in~ the following:
