November 10, 1987 I am the applicant in the above referenced rezoning and use permit applications. I ask you please to consider delaying the hearing on these applications until your next Council meeting because Z have a vital civic commitment in Norfolk at 7:30 p~m.T; November 10, 1987. And I do wish to come ~before the Council to present my views of these matt6rs which differ~rom those expressed in the City Manager's le~tter ~of November 3rd. On the same evening as the Council mee'ting- I am. scheduled to present and defend a position paper before the Tidewater - Jewish Foundation and the Jewish Community Center of Tidewater Executive Board. It is a matter that has been in development for two ~ears, and I cannot have someone el~e sit in fOr~me. Signed by James S. Eilberg." Eilb~rg~, owner., for storage of used auto parts on property on the west,side of Confederate~Avenue between Iron Lane and Turnpike R0ad.i Motion Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Simpson, that UP 87-22 be deferred to the regular meeting of November 24, 1987, as requested in the above reEerenced letter, and was adopted by unanimous vo~e. (d) CA 87-17 CODE AMENDMENT: A proposal to amend Section 40-82 and 40-140 of the City Code pertaining to permitted uses and ' dimensional requirements in the ~ '- Preservation P-1 District. Motion of Mr. Simpson and seconded by Mrs. Webb to concur in the recommendati0n of the Planning commission, CA 87-17 to amend Section 40-82 and 40-140, of the City Code, pertaining to permitted uses and dimensional~requi~ements' in the Preservation P-1 District, was approved on first reading, and was adopted by uhanimous vote. ' ~ ~ (e) Zoning Petition Z 87-22 - Motion Of ~rs; Webb and seconded PARK MANOR NEIGHBORHOOD: ~RezOning application of the City Planning Commission to rezone land known as City Park; from Residential R-75 to Preservation P-1. by Mrs. Lucas, to concur in the recommendation of the Planning Commission, Z 87-22 to rezone property known as City Park; from Residential R-75 to Preservation P-l, the follOwin~ ordinance was approved on first reading, and was adopted by unanimous vote.: "ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 87-22" ~ .
