FROM THE CA~PIT~ <br /> IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE SURVEYING OF THE ABANDONED CSX <br /> RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY." <br /> <br /> 87-502 - Letter from the City Manager recommendinq <br />adoption of an ordinance to appropriate $150,000 from the <br />Capita!l~mprovement Program for improvements to the extension <br />of Riverfront Park-aMd ~he Lightship Park. -~ <br /> <br /> "The 1987-92 Capital Improvement Program allocates <br />S500,000 for the construction of improvements to the extension <br />of Riverfront Park and the Lightship Park. Plans are presently <br />being prepared for the construction of these improvements which <br />are scheduled for award in March Of 1'988. -Prior to t~is-award <br />an appropriation is required for design costs, instal.lation-of~ <br />fill in Park and relocation of utilities. A portion of this <br />work will be reimbursed by-the developer as p.rovided f~r i~ the <br />development agreementJ The associated costs are as follows: <br /> <br />Architectural Design Services <br />(Lightship & Riverfront Park) <br /> <br />$ 60,000 <br /> <br />Design of Water Street Improvement and <br />Project Coordination by Engineering Dept. <br /> <br />$ 15,000 <br /> <br />Fill Material S 60,000 <br /> <br />utilfty Relocation <br /> <br /> Total <br /> <br />Appropriation <br /> <br />$.~15',000 <br /> <br />$15~0,000 <br /> <br /> In accordance with the development agreement $150,000 'will <br />be reimbursed by the developer. The City Engineer recommends <br />appropriation of the required funds. <br /> <br /> I co~cur with the above recommendation.and ask th~at <br />Council approve appropriation of the necessary funds." <br /> <br /> MotiOn~of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Gray, the <br />following Ordinance was approved on first reading, and-was <br />adopted by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $150,00'0. OF <br />RIVERFRONT PARK AND THE LIGHTSHIP PARK IN CONJUNCTION WITH <br />THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE KING"S CROSSING <br />CONDOMINIUMS." <br /> <br /> 87-503 Letter from the City Manager ~recommending <br />adoption!~f an ordinanCe to amend Section 4-37 of the City Code <br />pertainig~ to dog licenses. <br /> <br /> "At the request of the City Treasurer, the attached <br />ordinance will allOw dog owners to have an optional license for <br />up to a three-year period, in additi0~ to'the present yearly <br />lic~ns~that is now required. This option allows th~ owner~to <br />purchase a license for one year, ~twO years, ]or three years. : <br /> <br /> I recommend adoption of the attached ordinance." <br /> <br /> Councilman Simpson left the Council Chambe_ before the. <br />vote was taken (9:30 p,m.). <br /> <br /> Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the <br />following ordinance was adopted on first and final reading, and <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
