<br />"A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE NATIONAL PAINT AND COATINGS
<br />ASSOCIATION FOR THEIR "PICTURE IT PAINTED" PROGRAM IN
<br />RECOGNIZING THE ASSOCIATION FOR SUPPORTING PORTSMOUTH'S
<br />BEAUTIFICATION EFFORTS.

<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />recognizes the importance of preserving our housing stock through
<br />painting and other protective coatings; and
<br />
<br /> 'WHEREAS, the National Paint and~Coatings Association has
<br />developed and implemented a public relations effort entitled
<br />"Picture It Painted" that provides free paint and supplies to
<br />support Volunteer ~omes Preservation Projects; and
<br />

<br />Enclosed Ss a proposed resolution, for youri~onsi~ti~n endor~inn
