88-22 - John Gray Wallace, 957 "C" Suburban Parkway, spoke <br />concerning the leadership of City Council and the time limits <br />placed on speakers. <br /> <br /> 88-23 - Leslie R. French, III, 208 Glasgow Street, <br />representing the Federation of Civic Clubs, spoke concerning the <br />design of the Kings Crossing. <br /> <br /> Mayor Webb requested that the developer and Federation of <br />Civic Leagues to meet and discuss the concerns with the design. <br /> <br /> 88-24 - Councilman Simpson, express concerns on the <br />conditiOns at the cemeteries. <br /> <br /> Mayor Webb proposed that the Cemetery Committee meet to <br />discuss these concerns and appointed Councilman Simpson to <br />serve as Chairman. <br /> <br /> 88-25 - Councilman Corprew expressed concern with the slow <br />response time from the police when called by citizens. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to go into <br />Executive Session in accordance with SectiOn 2.1-344 of the Code <br />of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> 1. The condition, acquisition and use of real property for <br />public purposes as permitted under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 2. Consideration of a personnel matter as permitted under <br />subsection (a) (1); <br /> <br /> 3. ~Consultation with City Attorney and briefing by staff <br />members pertaining to actual or potential litigation or other <br />legal matters within the jurisdiction of the city Council as <br />permitted under subsection (a) (6); <br /> <br /> 4. The disposition of publicly held property as permitted <br />under subsection (a) (2); <br /> <br /> 5. Consideration of appointments by the City Council as <br />permitted under subsection (a) (1). <br /> <br />On motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
