Quayle, 3808 Poplar Hill <br />Mr. & Mrs. Terry McDaniel the petitioners, <br />the application~. <br /> <br />Road, representing <br />spoke in support of <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to deny the <br />ordinance to close a portion of Amelia Avenue, a~nd was adopted <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Lucas, <br /> Williams, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Simpson, <br /> <br />- REPORTS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - <br /> <br /> 88-158 Letter from %he city Manager recommending <br />adoption of a resolution requesting funds from the Business <br />Consortium for Arts Support. These funds will be used to <br />support the exhibits as scheduled for Fiscal Year 1988-89. <br /> <br /> "The Business Consortium for Arts Support is accepting <br />applications for grant programs for FY88-89. Dr. Nancy Melton, <br />Director of Museums, is requesting funds to support programming <br />and exhibition expenses that are not covered by the City's <br />General Fund. <br /> <br /> A grant from the Business Consortium for Arts Support will <br />be used for loan feesf insurance shipping, exhibit design, <br />advertising and other materials and supplies needed for the <br />presentation of exhibits. A total of $50,650 is requested and <br />no local match is required. <br /> <br /> I highly recommend your support of this request and <br />approval of the enclosed resolution which will be forwarded to <br />the Business Consortium for Arts Support as a part of the <br />application." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Simpson, the <br />following resolution was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
