August 23, 1988, to he,approved as received, and was <br />adopted b]~ uZi~nimous"vote~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Web~ welcomed all visitors in attendance. <br /> <br /> 88-341 - Presentation of a Proclamation to'the following <br />person: <br /> <br /> Nonie.Green, Program Specialist in the Substance Abuse <br />Program for the Portsmouth Public Schools for "Just Say No <br />Pledge Week", , ~ <br /> <br /> Presentation Of a "certificate of Appreciation" to <br />Charlie Mason, for his contribution to the Mayor's Drug Task <br />Force. <br /> <br />- UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded ~ Mr. Simpson, the <br />following items approved on first reading ~ the regular <br />meeting of August 23, 1988, were adopted on final reading, and <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />88-326 Parking Exception: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO WILLIAM AND <br />BONNIE SKILLMAN FOR PROPERTY AT 401 MOUNT VERNON AVENUE <br />AND AT 2721 AND 2723 DETROIT STREET FOR OFF-STREET PARKING <br />IN THE PORT NORFOLK HISTORIC LIMITED BUSINESS SUBDISTRICT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, William and Bonnie Skillman have made application <br />for the granting of a special exception to the off-street <br />parking requirements for property at 401 Mount Vernon Avenue <br />and property at 2721 and 2723 Detroit Street pursuant to <br />~40-102 (I) (2) in the Port Norfolk Historic Limited Business <br />Subdistrict; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done <br />all things requi~d to be done in connection with said <br />application; and' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has made a recommendation <br />for the granting of a special exception to the off-street <br />parking require~nts. <br /> <br /> <br />
