Pfeiffer, 100 Culpepper Road, representing <br />Northside Waterfront Committee, spoke in support of the <br />development plan. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by <br />Mr. Simpson, the following resolution removed <br />agenda was adopted and by the following vote: <br /> <br />from the consent <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY <br />OF PORTSMOUTH DESIGNATED CP-88-1 TO INCLUDE A DEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN FOR SCOTT'S CREEK AN~ RELATED PROPERTIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the Council of th~ City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held June 24, 1980, the <br />Comprehensive Plan for the City of Portsmouth designated <br />CP-80-1 was adopted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has made a careful and <br />comprehensive survey and study of the existing conditions and <br />tends of growth in the Scott's Creek area of the City of <br />Portsmouth and the probable future requirements of this area of <br />the City for the physical, social and economic development <br />thereof~ and has recommended that the Comprehensive Plan of the <br />City of Portsmouth be amended to include a development plan for <br />Scott's Creek and related properties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, prior to such <br />recommendation, gave notice and held public hearings on the <br />amendment as required by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has held <br />public hearings, with notices required by law, and considered <br />the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Comprehensive Plan for the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, designated CP-80-1 be, and the <br />same hereby is, amended to include a development plan for <br />Scott's Creek and related properties designated 88-477 (d)." <br /> <br /> Ayes: Barnes, Corprew, Gray, Hawks, Lucas, Simpson, Webb <br /> Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
