311 <br /> <br />~ 10, 1989 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Allen C. Jensen, President and General Partner of <br />Columbia Place Corporation, has made application pursuan~ to <br />~40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for <br />a revision to the design of two buildings in the site layout of <br />the group housing project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved group housing project consisted of five <br />(5) buildings with a total of thirty~six (36) units of which <br />twenty-eight (28) were two bedrooms and eight (8) were one bedroon <br />units and the developer has completed three buildings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the revised plan will modify the design of buildings <br />four (4) and five (5) located along Columbia Street by reducing <br />the number of units in building four (4) from six (6) to four (4) <br />units and in building five (5) from eight (8) to six (6) units, <br />the new design being~one story.flats on the first and second <br />floors instead of a two floor townhouse design as originally <br />approved. The revised site plan showing four (4) fewer parking <br />spaces than originally approved with the seventeen hundred (1700) <br />square feet not used for parking to be utilized for Clustered <br />storage units and landscaped open areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission <br />application for revision and has made <br />and <br /> <br />has reviewed such <br />a recommendation thereon; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that approval of the revision <br />requested would not constitute a waiver of any other requirement <br />embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, or Code <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any other applicable <br />local, state or federal law or regulation, and that all the <br />remaining terms and conditions of the group housing project <br />approval would remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of th~ City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Resolution approved by the Council <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia on July 23, 1985, granting <br />approval for group housing prooect GHP-85-19 known as "Columbia <br />Place Condominiums" is hereby revised in accordance with the <br />revised site plan and elevations filed wi~h the appropriate <br />officials of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, such revised plans <br />and documentation being made a part hereof, is hereby granted <br />approval subject to the following~conditions: <br /> <br /> (1) The new design mu~t be approved by the Downtown D-1 <br />Design Committee prior to the issuance of ,building permits. <br /> <br /> (2) A <br />Department <br />approval. <br /> <br />site improvement plan must be submitted to the <br />of Engineering and Technical Services for review and <br /> <br /> (3) All remaining terms and conditions of the group housing <br />project as approved by a Resolution of the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth adopted on July 23, 1985 shall remain in full force an( <br />effect." <br /> <br />88-487 - <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $25,000 FROM THE <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />PLAY GROUND EQUIPMENT AT THE BROAD STREET <br />PLAYGROUND AND THE EXTENSION OF SEWER SERVICE <br />AT THE OLIVE BRANCH LITTLE LEAGUE COMPLEX." <br /> <br /> <br />
