The total cost would be approximately <br />$11,225. I further~ecommend-~that we handle this transaction <br />through the Portsmoutb~hduetri~l-Development Authority. Th <br />would(receive ~the~ne~oc:eed~:~rom the la~d sale (approximately <br />$8,225). A ,map showisg the~p'roposed sale parcel is attached. <br /> <br /> Thins action would assist a private ~business without hint <br />the City operations a.t the':site. The City Attorney has drafted <br />the attached resolution to convey the property to PIDA a~d I <br />recommend its approval." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mi~s. Luca~, the following <br />resolution was adopted on first and final reading and by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br /> '"A RESOLUTION AU~HORIZING.~THE CIT~ MANAGER TO CONVEY 6,580 <br />SQUARE ~FEET OF LAND ON THE SOU~H ~SIDE OF VICTOR~ BOULEVARD TO:THE <br />INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />approximately <br />Boulevard from the Tidewater Regional Transportation District <br />Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all of the property so acquired is not necessary <br />public use, and the-hereinafter described parcel is hereby <br />declared to be excess property; and <br /> <br />the City of Portsmouth recently acquired <br />three acres of property on the south side of Victor <br /> <br />for <br /> <br /> WHEREAS-, Section~-.O9 o~ t~he Charter of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Vir§ini~, p~ovides~ that the City may convey real <br />property to-the Commo~wealth~f Virginia, or a political <br />subdivision thereof, without advertisement and receipt of bids; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of the City <br />Portsmouth is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia. <br /> <br />of <br /> <br /> <br />
