Cook, Sr. had been granted a use permit to <br />operate a junkyard at 703-705 Jamestown Avenue by Resolution 82-5( <br />adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a <br />meeting held June 22, 1982 and designated as UP-82-12; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Earl J. Cook, Sr. had been;granted a use permit to <br />operate an auto junkyard at 705-707 Yorktown Avenue by resolution <br />1983-90 adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginie <br />at a meeting held September 27, 1983 and designated as UP-83-6; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the use permits noted above expired on June 30, <br />1987, and Earl J. Cook, Sr. has made application pursuant to <br />§40-69 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973 <br />for the' granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described for bott <br />parcels of land noted above; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done <br />all things required to be done in connection with said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has made a recommendation <br />regarding the granting of said use permit. <br /> <br /> <br />
