Hanbury, II~, @ity <br /> Manager, Steven L~eberman, City At~orney~i <br /> <br /> Miss Sandra Tarkington, a Senior at Cradock High School, <br />opened the meeting With prayer, followed-by the Pledge Of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br /> May~r Webb welcomed al~ visitors in ~ttendance~, <br /> <br /> Motion of MrI. Simpson and ~seconded bY Mrs. LUcas,~:minutes~i <br />of a called meeting of February 13, 1989; minutes of a cal~ed <br />meeting of February 14, 1989; minutes of a regular meeting of <br />February 14,: 1B89, to be approved as' received, and' w~ adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 89-76 Presentations of framed photographs were~made to <br />Mayor Webb and Councilman Simpson by Charles R. Mason along with <br />his thanks for the job that the entire Council had done with the <br />Drug Task Force.' <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Gray, 'on behalf of the COuncil, thanked Mr.~ <br />Mason, Mayor Webb and Councilman Simpson for their contributions <br />and work on the Drug Task Force. <br /> <br /> 89-77 ~' Presentation of a prOclamation for "Educational <br />Fair Day" in Portsmouth was made to Sylvia A. Stephe~son, <br />Educational Fair Committee Chairman for~ Portsmouth Public <br />Schools. ~ <br /> <br />- UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br />Consent Agen.da <br /> <br /> On motion Of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. <br /> <br />Hawks,- the <br /> <br />following items approved on first reading at the Public Hearing <br />of February 13, 1989 and the regular meeting of February 14, <br />1989, were adopted on final reading, and by the following.vote: <br /> <br /> 89-49 <br /> (a) - ,A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO AMOCO OIL <br />COMPANY FOR THE OPERATION OF GASOLINE PUMPS IN CONJUNCTION WITH <br />A AMOCO FOOD CONVENIENCE STORE AT 2210 PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amoco Oil Company has made application pursuant <br />to ~40-102 (I) (1) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia,.1973, for the granting of a use~permit as <br />hereinafter-described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done <br />all things required to be done in connection with said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> ~m/qEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the <br />granting of said use permit with conditions. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> (1) That the use for which the use permit <br />hereinafter-desCribed is sought:-~ <br /> <br /> <br />
