In response to public concern regarding the
apartment complex, the program was not expanded at that time and
staff was requested to work with the neighborhood, PRHA and
property owners to address conditions at Country Village.

The current owner of Country Village Apartments, has
developed a financing package to have the property upgraded. An
integral part gE this financial package would be the eligibility
of Country village Apartments to receive and participate in the
Rental Rehabilitation Program. As such, the owner is requesting
that City Council authorize the expansion of the program to
include Country village Apartments. As you recall, the
neighborhoods of Brighton, Prentis Park, Cradock, Park View and
Truxtun are currently eligible to participate in the program.

Attached for your consideration is a resolution providing
for the expansion of the Rental Rehabilitation Program to
include the Country Village Apartments."

Mr. John F.
