595 <br /> <br />September 26, 1989 <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mrs. Lucas, to approve <br />the following ordinance on first reading and award the contract to <br />the low bidder, Montgomery Door, by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> '"A~O~DINANCE TO'APPROPrIATE $14;300. FROM T~E CAPITAL <br /> IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE INST~LLATION OF-SECURITY GATES <br /> FOR THE CITY TREASURER'S OFFICE AND TO AWARD THE CONTRACT <br /> TO THE LOW BIDDER, MONTGOMERY DOOR." <br /> <br /> 89-394 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption <br />of an ordinance to appropriate $19,600,600.00 from the Capital <br />Improvement Fund and $200,000.00 from.the public utility Capital <br />Improvement Fund for construction of the new Ch~rchland High <br />School and related projects. <br /> <br /> "~hec~hurc~land High.School is~sched~led fo~ occupancy in <br />September of 1991. Th~s schedule is necessary in order to <br />maintain minimum disruption to the students and the teachers in <br />moving into the new school. Not completing construction by <br />September 1991 would necessitate waiting until Summer of 1992 or <br />move over Christmas ~break. <br /> <br />a <br /> <br /> To maintain the proposed schedule, first reading approval is <br />requested prior to the bids being opened. After receipt of the <br />cont~a6~r~bids on October 3, 1989, second approval of the amended <br />appropriation (~0 reflect the bid prices) will be requested at the. <br />October 10, 1989 Council meeting. As you are aware, the School <br />Board will be the a~ency awarding the bid and contracting for the <br />new school facility. <br /> <br /> The total projected cost of the high school and related <br />improvements from th~ t988-93~Capital~Improvement Program are as <br />follows- <br /> <br />Churchland High School <br />Cedar Lane Extension <br />High School Athletic Field <br />P.I.T.
