Griffin, Architect, AlA, P.C., on behalf of <br />Holiday House of Portsmouth, Inc., requests a use permit to expand <br />an existing group home for children at 4211 County Street. The <br />Comprehensive Plan's Generalized Future Land Use Map <br />recommends Institutional/Public Use. Vision Principle: Thriving <br />Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Ms. Psi mas, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that UP-09-01 be approved on first <br />reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Psimas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(b) UP-09-02 <br /> <br />GEORGE WASHINGTON HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR - <br />Catherine C. Staff requests a use permit to operate a restaurant at <br />3409 D George Washington Highway. The Comprehensive Plan's <br />Generalized Future Land Use Map recommends a Mixed Use <br />Corridor.
