The Traffi.c Engine~=r <br />subsequently identified certain parking meters which ma be <br />removed allowing cltl-~ens becter utilization of valuabl parking <br />spaces [er shopping and visiting downtown Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> Th.~ remov,al of the parking meters is a small, yet p~sitive, <br />move toward enhancing our development activities and advancing <br />existin economic interests by providing more convenient access <br />downtow businesses. Our ultimate success will be achieved by <br />such sm~I[[ steps. This action is timely, too, with the <br />approacling holiday season. <br /> <br /> ~Ad~i%ionally, five meters are being removed on Coun <br />at Edin)u~rgh Square for the TRT Transfer Center. The re <br />derived~ f~om th~ targeted parking meters is minimal. <br /> <br /> Section 22-601 of the City Code will be revised to telete <br />parking meters as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Green Street, both sides, between County Street and <br /> Queen Street <br /> 2. Green Street, west side, between Queen Street to <br /> London Blvd. <br /> 3. Eolumbia Street, north side, between Crawford Street <br /> and Court Street <br /> 4. Court Street, east side, between Queen Street nd High <br /> '.Street <br /> 5. Middle Street, both sides, between London Blvd and <br /> ~Queen Street <br /> 6. ~Dinwiddie Street, both sides, from King Street to <br /> County Street <br /> 7. Dinwiddie Street, east side, from King Street o Queen <br /> Street <br /> 8. IWashington Street, both sides, from Queen Stre t ~to <br /> High Street <br /> 9. Effingham Street, both sides, from County Street to <br /> IQueen Street <br /> 10.
