<br /> W~EREAS, there has been presented to the Council of the City
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia for consideration and approval, a copy of
<br />an amended Plan for the project area, which Plan consists of
<br />fifteen pages and four exhibits (Amendment No. 20); and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Amendment No. 20 proposes to designate additional
<br />properties as "To Be Acquired;" and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, is
<br />cogniz~n~ of the conditions that are imposed by the provisions of
<br />the HoUsing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended,
<br />including those prohibiting discrimination because of r~ce, age,
<br />color, religion, familial status, handicap, sex or naticnal
<br />origin; and
<br />
<br /> WHEKEAS, in the

<br /> (b) That Amendment No. 20 meets the requirem(nts of
<br /> a plan for an urban renewal pro3ect purer ant to
<br /> Chapter 1 of Title 3o of the Code of V~r(inia,
<br /> 1950, as amended.
