The City of Portsmouth has received funds from the Virginia Commission for the Local Challenge Grant category. . The grant will be used to provide the artists' awards for the 38th Seawall Art Show. Discussion: . The Seawall Art Show is a volunteer supported event that features 90 fine art and fine craft artists representing twelve different states from the Southeast region. . All monetary support for the Seawall Art Show comes from grants, donations, and corporate sponsors. . Proceeds from the art show have funded special exhibits and artists' awards for the Outdoor Sculpture Award. . Proceeds from 2007 also funded a teen art camp at the Courthouse Galleries.
